Need a Little Morning Caffeine Boost?

What college student doesn’t survive off a good cup of coffee? When you need a little caffeine boost in the morning, you need to know where to go so you can grab your java and head to class. Take a quick ride to these coffee shops near Murray State University.

Future Grounds
Formerly Fidalgo Bay, Future Grounds is a low-key coffee shop with great custom brews and delicious pastries. It’s small and there’s limited parking, but the music is usually good and the seats are comfortable. Or, head through the drive-through to grab a coffee and scone or muffin to go.

Murray Donuts
Murray Donuts has great fresh donuts, but their coffee selection is a little more limited than Future Grounds or Dunkin Donuts.

5th and Main
5th and Main is in downtown Murray, KY and is in the basement of New Life Christian Bookstore. They have great custom coffees, limited snacks, and a good atmosphere for quiet studying.

Learning from Home Today?

Today’s classrooms are more dynamic than in the past and students often find themselves working from the comfort of their student apartment instead of in class. CEV Murray offers everything you need to study from your home away from home, including WiFi, private study areas with desks, a computer lounge, and community areas.

Post-Study Fitness Time

It’s important to stay healthy while you attend school, and leaving campus to go to the gym (not to mention paying for a gym membership) isn’t always feasible for students. As one of our many luxurious Amenities, CEV Murray offers a state-of-the-art fitness facility, improving the student living experience and giving students the option of working out just steps away from their apartment. Whether you want to hop on the elliptical for a quick 15-minute workout or you want to spend an hour on the treadmill sweating it out after you’ve closed the books, our fitness facility makes it possible without you ever having to leave your student apartment.

Don't Forget Saturday's Farmer's Market

From the end of May to the end of October, Murray, KY hosts a farmer’s market downtown. Here you’ll find booths manned by members of the community who grow fruits and vegetables, raise livestock, make jewelry and other crafts, and more. From 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Go early to avoid arriving after many vendors have already sold out of their products.
